Supporting your right to feel safe at home

Mary’s House Services is proud to deliver the NSW State Government’s Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program across Sydney’s northern region. This program supports women and children who have separated from a violent partner and wish to remain safely in their own home or another home of their choice.

Professional support services

Our dedicated team of specialist domestic and family violence social workers provides comprehensive, trauma-informed support through:

Case Coordination

Access to Community Programs

  • You do not need to be under the care of a Mary’s House social worker to attend or participate in programs.
  • All programs are free, and childminding is available on request.

The SHLV program prioritises support for women and their children who:

  • Have experienced domestic and family violence
  • Women and their children who have separated or are leaving a violent and abusive partner
  • Require support and assistance
  • Want to remain safely in their own home or a home of their choice

We provide specialised support for:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
  • Women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Women living with disabilities, or caring for a child with a disability
  • Women experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage or social exclusion
