Our purpose

To support women and children to live free from domestic and family violence and abuse by activating the energy and resources of our community.

Our four core goals:

1. Amplify our impact

To amplify our impact, we aim to:​

  • Expand our service-delivery capability: casework and community programs
  • Strengthen our capacity to provide support for children impacted by domestic and family violence
  • Develop our capacity to offer safe housing to more clients: refuge (emergency, short term accommodation) and transitional housing
  • Incorporate lived experience insight in our operations, client services and advocacy

2. Centre our people

To centre our people, we aim to:

  • Attract and retain diverse staff, board members and volunteers
  • Provide competitive staff compensation, recognition and benefits.
  • Provide a healthy and safe work environment that prioritises personal and professional growth and wellbeing.
  • Equip our people to be advocates for our mission and purpose.

3. Expand strategic partnerships

To expand our strategic partnerships, we aim to:

  • Increase and diversify service-delivery and housing partnerships.
  • Engage with more philanthropists, pro bono partners and corporate partners.
  • Develop productive relationships with peak bodies and government.

4. Target sustainable growth

To target sustainable growth, we aim to:

  • Boost revenue every year and secure more long-term, sustainable financial commitments from supporters.
  • Respond effectively to the rapidly evolving cyber-risk environment.
  • Provide a healthy and safe work environment that prioritises personal and professional growth and wellbeing.
  • Use impact measurement tools for reporting and service development.
