Lunch for Lives
On 15 December 2018, over 200 people gathered at the Easts Rugby Club for the “Lunch for Lives”.
Lunch for Lives is the initiative of a group of thirteen friends (Mary-Anne, Lucia, Daisy, Olivia, Georgie, Lizzie, Bailey, Louise, Lizzie, Claudia, Gemma, Harriet and Kate) who wanted to give back to society and decided to host a lunch to raise funds for Mary’s House.
And what an amazing lunch it was – speakers included Emma Rossi (one of the founders of Mary’s House) and Kara Dempsey, who generously shared her story. Lunch was enjoyed by all and with raffle sales and silent auctions over $13,000 was raised for Mary’s House.
Thanks so much to the organising committee and all who attended the lunch. This money will help a family stay in Mary’s House and start a new safe life.
